So since 9/17/11 a group of people is gathering at Zucotti Park, now renamed Liberty Park, near Wall street, New York. They are planning to stay as long as possible - or until visible attempts to change our worldwide economical system are made. Who does not get the notion, that something is going really wrong here?
The gathering is completely peaceful. It does not have a specific sender behind it other than "us, the people, as one voice". I urge you, to support this.
Take an hour or so, when you are not working, and join them. It's nearly impossible, that you have no reason to do this. Do it out of love for yourself and your friends!
Let me tell you about my friends. I love them all. I am participating for myself, for them, and for one humanity:
Some of my friends are in high debt from school that got them advanced degrees, with no idea of how to pay them back. They are not losers.
Some of my friends have high mortgages that provide housing for their children, foreclosure always on their backs. They deserve solidarity.
Some of my friends have up to 3 jobs to simply sustain living, no extras. They need room to breathe.
Some of my friends live of trust funds their parents provide while keeping quiet about that their "work" is not generating any profit but rather loss. They are not winners.
Some of my friends are building companies with money from their personal savings, hoping for the best. They need real encouragement and a fair start.
Some of my friends are working in "adult-jobs", that they actually don't want to work in, that eat away from their self-worth. They need new perspectives.
Some of my friends are scared to speak up, because they could get on a "list". They need to feel save on planet earth.
Some of my friends have no worries and disconnect themselves from those who do, as a self-preserving strategy, while experiencing the loneliness. They need their ability to feel and the sense of community back.
Some of my friends (only) party like there is no tomorrow, because they either don't or don't want to see their future. They are the homeless at heart.
Some of my friends are acting completely shallow without exception. They need room for self-expression and help finding their identity.
Some of my friends are taking large amounts of prescription drugs against anxiety, insomnia, under-performance, stress, pain and other avoidable issues. They need a healthy environment and peace.
Some of my friends are playing the existing game really well, not because they feel that it's right, but because they don't want to draw the short end. They need freedom of choice.
Some of my friends are rebels, who are vigorously working for greater causes than themselves. They deserve support.
Some of my friends gave up, and aren't aware that they did. They need a second chance to get back into the boat.
Some of my friends did not give up and are ridiculed for that. They deserve to feel like heroes.
Some of my friends have much more than they need, but nothing to spare - out of fear or confusion and not out of lack of ability to share and love. They need a mirror that shows them how beautiful they truly are.
What are your friends looking like? The people you care for, the people who care for you?
They all deserve love, respect, acceptance and One voice. It could be yours.
(I'm leaving for wall street now :))
Pressure pushing down on me
Pressing down on you no man ask for
Under pressure - that burns a building down
Splits a family in two
Puts people on streets
Ee day da - that's o.k.
It's the terror of knowing
What the world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming 'Let me out'
Pray tomorrow - gets me higher
Pressure on people - people on streets
O.k.
Chippin' around - kick my brains around the floor
These are the days it never rains but it pours
People on streets - ee da de da de
People on streets - ee da de da de da de da
It's the terror of knowing
What this world is about
Watching some good friends
Screaming 'Let me out'
Pray tomorrow - gets me higher high high
Pressure on people - people on streets
Turned away from it all like a blind man
Sat on a fence but it don't work
Keep coming up with love
but it's so slashed and torn
Why - why - why ?
Love love love love love
Insanity laughs under pressure we're cracking
Can't we give ourselves one more chance
Why can't we give love that one more chance
Why can't we give love give love give love give love
give love give love give love give love give love
'Cause love's such an old fashioned word
And love dares you to care for
The people on the edge of the night
And loves dares you to change our way of
Caring about ourselves
This is our last dance
This is our last dance
This is ourselves
Under pressure
